The G20 #eSkills4Girls initiative aims at tackling the existing gender digital divide in particular in low income and developing countries. The goal is to globally increase the access of women and girls in the digital world and to boost relevant education and employment opportunities. In May 2019, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) organized a lunch talk with guest speakers Nanjira Sambuli (World Wide Web Foundation) and Ethel Cofie (Women in Tech Africa) who gave insights on current challenges in policy and practice as well as achievements of the initiative.
